Bruce Chalker
Before his retirement Bruce Chalker was a biological oceanographer. He conducted research, on reef corals and algal photoadaptation, in Florida, the Bahamas, the Caribbean, at Eniwetok Atoll in the Marshall Islands, on the Australian Great Barrier Reef, and in Antarctica. He has logged more than 1200 research dives, routinely down to a depth of 250 feet and saturated twice in the Hydro-Lab underwater habitat. Subsequently, he was a patent attorney. Current, among other pursuits, he is a horticultural volunteer at the Missouri Botanical Garden.
